Rebalance the way you breathe, move and function.
Alot of children and adults experience challenges such as mouth breathing, poor oral tone, tongue thrust, or jaw tension. These can influence posture, speech, and even emotional regulation.
Orofacial Therapy focuses on how the muscles of the face, mouth, and jaw work together to support breathing, swallowing, and overall regulation.
At Performants, this therapy is approached from a neurodevelopmental and movement-based perspective, addressing how these systems influence posture, function, and the nervous system.
Orofacial Therapy can benefit children, teens, and adults who experience difficulties with breathing, swallowing, or oral function related to developmental or movement patterns.
The result is better nasal breathing, balanced facial development, and improved nervous system function.
During the initial assessment, Anthony will look at how your breathing, tongue, lips, and jaw are working together. This includes observing posture, resting oral position, and how efficiently the body supports nasal breathing. You will also have time to discuss any concerns such as sleep, focus or any habits.
Follow-up sessions involve observation and gentle exercises that promote improved function and coordination through movement and awareness.
Each session is practical, individually tailored, hands-on, and adapted to the individual’s age and needs.
After purchasing your initial assessment, you’ll receive an email with the necessary forms and instructions to complete.
Once I receive your completed forms, I will notify you to arrange a time to discuss your results in detail and outline the next steps.
To achieve the best results, 1-3 sessions per week are typically recommended over a 12 week period.
Discover how small changes in breathing and oral function can create big improvements in regulation, posture, and wellbeing.
