What are the benefits of KLT?

The short-term benefits of performing KLT workouts include:

  • Increased confidence and enjoyment of full-body exercise.
  • Time-efficient development of your overall strength and fitness.
  • The ability to exercise in your own home (or in a gym) with minimal equipment required.
  • The development of improved freedom of motion in all your joints & muscles in multiple directions.
  • Improved posture and the refinement of your body awareness (proprioception).
  • A reduction in any ailments you may have which are associated with poor sedentary behaviours (such as prolonged sitting).

Thanks to Anthony’s expertise, my bouts of dizziness, vertigo and nausea have disappeared, and my life has returned to normal.

What is the difference between KLT and traditional gym programming?

Traditional gym training commonly contains isolation and focuses on individual muscles. Although this has a role to play in the rehab of a weak or injured muscle, traditional gym training often uses stability taken from external supports such as seats and benches. This does not always relate to everyday activity or sporting activities.

KLT utilises the use of various muscles and kinetic chains to develop strength and control in a functional position. Movements are broken up into their core function motions such as pushing, pulling, squatting or lunging. This way the exercises that are functional and will use groups of muscles rather than individual joints and movements. Whilst some movements will seem unique, it provides a functional advantage and unique change from your standard gym exercises.

After years of struggling with severe pain when walking long distances and having to wear expensive and uncomfortable orthotics, Anthony has helped me gain back strength, mobility and balance. Now I can hike for hours with no orthotics or pain!

Kinetic Link Training (KLT) Coaching sessions are designed to teach you how to safely perform the most effective resistance training exercises (in a gym environment or at home).

The aim is to achieve fantastic physical performance results, plus great long-term health and wellbeing.

I will assist you in developing and maintaining a strong, toned, energised body which moves with ease, efficiency and control.

During your time with me in our private training space, I will teach you a series of full-body functional strength training workouts which have been designed by Wayne Rodgers (a senior sports & exercise physiotherapist with 32 years of clinical experience in health & fitness, plus 20 years of international lecturing experience), and his partner Graeme (a physical education graduate with 28 years experience in health & fitness coaching).

The unique training system, known as Kinetic Link Training (KLT), offers you all the benefits of a proven, wholistic, time-efficient and systematic approach to exercise.

KLT is a scientifically-based full-body exercise regime which has been taught to thousands of physiotherapists and exercise professionals throughout Australia and around the world over the past 10 years.

To learn the KLT exercises and workouts properly, you typically need to commit to a minimum of six coaching sessions. Each session is 45 minutes. If you prefer to take your time or train for longer, I also offer extended sessions (60 min sessions).

Note: Fitness Coaching is a very different service to normal Personal Training.

With Personal Training you are commonly reliant on the trainer to take you through each session for an indefinite period of months or years.

With Fitness Coaching, you will be undergoing customised coaching and exercise education for a number of sessions to learn how to train safely, efficiently and ultimately independently.

This is like a short course in learning how to exercise effectively to ensure lasting great results.

If you feel you would like an extended period of guidance and supervision, you are still welcome to train regularly under my care for many months (or more) if this is your preference.

All workouts that I teach you will be fully supported with access to high quality handouts and online HD videos – to remind you of all the exercises you have learned.

To give you an introduction to the KLT style of exercises and movements you can check out the website www.KLT.fitness (especially the Getting Started section)
