Services: Vestibular Rehabilitation

I have the expertise to take you where you want to be.
Your health, fitness and wellbeing is my priority.

What is Vestibular Rehabilitation?

Vestibular rehabilitation is an effective way of reducing symptoms of vertigo, dizziness and unsteadiness that result from a dysfunction in the balance system.

The Balance system is composed of the inner ear eye and specific areas of your brain. Information is relayed between these areas to maintain an upright posture and maintain gaze stability whilst moving your head.

My qualifications

Thanks to Anthony’s expertise, my bouts of dizziness, vertigo and nausea have disappeared, and my life has returned to normal.

What areas does vestibular rehabilitation address?

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy aims to address disorders or impairments of the body’s vestibular system and specifically to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR). A properly functioning VOR ensures that for every head movement, there is an equal and opposite movement of the eyes, keeping them on target.

It’s easy to see Anthony loves his job and genuinely wants to help his clients. He brings a sense of humour and a huge amount of knowledge to his sessions. I would highly recommend Anthony to anyone looking for a great Personal Trainer.

What is the Vestibular System?

Your vestibular system helps you detect head position and motion and it allows you to properly react when it senses changes to it. It is made up of

  1. Your two inner ear organs
  2. The vestibular centres of your midbrain and cerebellum and
  3. Your peripheral vestibular nerves.
